Meet Dr. Shaila

Dr. Shaila Callaghan is a neuro-functional family chiropractor with a strong focus in prenatal care, postnatal care and pediatrics. She is certified in the Webster technique (specific to pregnant people) and has been expertly trained by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

 

As a mom, she understands the value and importance of raising healthy families through proactive health practices. Using her advanced training in a variety of techniques, along with her intuition and knowledge of the body, she has successfully cared for hundreds of patients in all stages of pregnancy and of all ages.

 

Dr. Shaila graduated Summa Cum Laude from McMaster University in 2007 and completed her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, receiving the Vern Welsh Memorial Award for excellence in radiology upon her graduation in 2011. She is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and maintains an active membership with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

 

Dr. Shaila is an avid learner and has completed thousands of continuing education hours, ensuring that she is always up to date on the latest and most groundbreaking information in her field. Her list of certifications, training modules and course completions continues to grow and includes: the management of the breastfeeding dyad, infant and newborn care, pediatric nutrition & nutrition for special needs populations, oral myofascial therapies and the care of oral ties pre and post surgical revision, sacral-occipital technique and pelvic blocking, Thompson technique, Webster technique, fertility support care, prenatal and pregnancy care, postpartum recovery care and management, cranial therapies, the care of children and adults with special needs, scoliosis care and management, neurosensory integration, primitive reflex integration, biofeedback, neurofeedback, post-surgical rehabilitation, neuroimmunology and the management of individuals with neurobehavioral disorders.

 

Dr. Shaila is most known for her compassion, infectious positivity and clinical excellence. Each family that she cares for gains a greater understanding of their individual bodies and feels confident that they truly have someone in their corner who is passionate about helping them reach their goals and live their best life.

 

When Dr. Shaila is not with her patients and practice members, she can be found hiking the Bruce trail, knitting gifts for her loved ones and spending quality time with her husband and young daughter.
